Looking for easy, scenic places to walk with your little ones in Northwest Arkansas? Whether you’re squeezing in a quick stroller nap walk or planning a slow morning outside, these spots are reliable, beautiful, and stroller-friendly. Here are some of my favorite trails and parks around NWA.

📍 Lake Atalanta (Rogers)
A go-to for paved walking, Lake Atalanta is one of the most popular stroller walks in the area for good reason. The main loop is about 2 miles with smooth paths and gentle hills.
It’s a busy, well-loved trail, which actually makes it feel very comfortable for solo walks with kids during the day. There are usually plenty of other walkers, runners, and families out, plus lots of little spots to stop and explore along the way.
📍 Osage Park (Bentonville)
Osage Park is perfect if you want something wide open and easy.
The paved paths are flat and stroller-friendly, with boardwalk sections through wetlands that make the walk feel a little more special. If you have a plane lover in your family, this is also a fun one since it sits right near the airport and you can often spot planes taking off and landing.
📍 Gulley Park (Fayetteville)
Gulley Park is one of the easiest quick walks in Fayetteville. The paved loop is about 0.5 miles, making it perfect for short outings or multiple laps if you want to extend your walk.
It’s shaded, well-maintained, and has a playground and creek nearby, which makes it an easy “walk + play” stop.
ul scenery.
📍 Blowing Springs Park (Bella Vista)
To find this trailhead, search “Gear Garden Bella Vista” in maps. From there, you’ll access the Blowing Springs Greenway at Blowing Springs Park.
This paved trail is about 3 miles and connects toward Metfield Park. It’s peaceful, tree-lined, and great for longer stroller walks when you want more distance without technical terrain.
📍 Crystal Bridges & Compton Gardens (Bentonville)
One of the most scenic walking areas in NWA, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and Compton Gardens and Arboretum offer a mix of paved trails, art, and nature.
We often park at Compton Gardens and walk toward Crystal Bridges, or start at the museum parking garage and explore from there. The paths are stroller-friendly with some gentle inclines and lots of beautif
📍 Orchards Park (Bentonville)
Orchards Park is a simple, smooth, and easy option for a quick outing.
It’s not a long trail, but it’s perfect for walking loops with a stroller, plus it has a great playground. It’s also conveniently located near the Amazeum and coffee shops, making it an easy stop for a full outing.
📍 Coler Mountain Bike Preserve (Bentonville)
A personal favorite, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is one of the best stroller-friendly nature walks in Bentonville.
We usually park at the South Preserve entrance and walk toward Airship Coffee. The trails are wide and smooth in many areas, with creek access points and little spots for kids to explore.
Highlights include:
- Airship Coffee stop
- Creek play areas
- “The Rise” stairs
- A tucked-away swing in the woods
It’s one of the few places I feel totally comfortable walking alone with kids while still feeling immersed in nature.
📍 Lake Fayetteville (Fayetteville)
Lake Fayetteville has a longer loop trail, but a great stroller-friendly access point is at Veterans Memorial Park near the playground.
From there, you’ll find a paved path that’s ideal for an easy walk with water views and plenty of space.
📍 Dogwood Springs Trail (Siloam Springs)
Dogwood Springs Walking Trail is a hidden gem.
This trail runs through the John Brown University campus and follows a creek. It’s mostly flat, smooth, and about 1–1.5 miles long—perfect for a quiet, low-key stroller walk.
🌿 A Few More Favorites
- Horsebarn Park (connects to the Razorback Greenway)
- Mt. Hebron Park
- Village on the Creek Loop
☀️ Final Thoughts
One of the best parts of living in Northwest Arkansas is how easy it is to get outside with kids! These trails make it simple to step out, get fresh air, and enjoy beautiful surroundings whether you have 20 minutes or a full morning. If you have a favorite stroller walk I should add, I’m always open to new spots.
